Honors Night Wichita has many outstanding people and organizations. The Chamber’s Honors Night recognizes some of our community’s finest, following a tradition begun more than 47 years ago. Honors Night is a special night set aside to honor and celebrate an outstanding individual, three exemplary corporate citizens, exceptional commitment to the community, and a striking architectural achievement. All of the honors have special meaning because each contributes to the greater well-being of our community. On this special night, the business community gathers to say "thank you" to our honorees, who are indeed worthy. In recognition of this fact, their names will be enshrined on the "Wall of Honor" in the Chamber building, forming another stitch in the historic fabric of the Wichita area. Accepting Nominations for Keeper of the Plains Award The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the prestigious Keeper of the Plains award that is presented annually to honor an outstanding architectural achievement. The Keeper of the Plains award committee considers aesthetic quality, degree of improvement, visibility and maintenance when determining a winner. The award will be presented at the Chamber’s Honors Night banquet in April, 2011. Consider the criteria listed on the second page of the form, then nominate what you think is an award-winning project. Complete the form and return it to the chamber by September 30, 2010.
